Meet the world’s first pure-electric hyper GT.
With a growing demand for electric supercars, Italian heritage brand Pininfarina, known for automotive design and luxury products, stepped up to the plate. Launched in 2022, the impressive Battista is the first car to wear the exclusive Pininfarina badge. Though sexy and sleek as it gets, it also posts a jaw-dropping sticker price, with a starter model priced at $2.2 million.
This sum may likely be a reflection of the limited production of just 150 models worldwide, paired with the hand-crafted artisan work that make up the car’s foundation, straight from the atelier in Cambiano, Italy.
Thanks to a bespoke personalization service that allows for more than 128 million interior combinations, no two cars are the same.
The Battista’s capabilities include four independent electric motors and a powerful 120 kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque, with a zero-emissions driving range of 300 miles, a world record for an electric hypercar. There are five drive modes to choose from, including Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere, and its intelligent, four-wheel torque vectoring contributes to effortless performance in all conditions.
The driver-centric layout makes it easy to access any desired data. “The Battista interior clearly reflects our PURA design philosophy,” explains Dave Amantea, the Chief Design Officer. “It is aesthetically pure while shaping the way the driver experiences the car, intuitively controlled via the latest touchscreen technology and beautifully milled rotary controls for the most engaging experience.”
