The luxe PS terminal at LAX expands into Miami.
Formerly The Private Suite, PS was the first outfit to open a private terminal for commercial flights at LAX back in 2017. The one-of-a-kind concept dreamed up the idea that VIPs could fly commercial, but feel like they were flying private. A PS car chauffeured passengers from the off-site high-end space, complete with its own private TSA check in, right up to the side of a towering airplane. The VIP guest would then ascend a flight of stairs to the jet bridge where they could skip the lines, enter the plane and plop into their first-class seats right before the plane took off.
Well-heeled bicoastal Angelenos who have used the service for six years now will be happy to hear Miami International Airport is now getting its own PS terminal in 2025. The chic space, separated from the huddled masses waiting in the main concourse, will open in the former Pan Am headquarters in 2025.
Acclaimed architect Richard Heisenbottle and his team are responsible for the design of PS MIA and are keeping historical preservation of the Pan Am building at the forefront of the project. Heisenbottle promises to pay tribute to the past with nods to the future along with the amenities high-end travelers have come to expect.
Like LA’s version, when you touchdown in the Sunshine State, PS MIA’s team chauffeurs clients directly from the tarmac to their second home or hotel. Imagine skipping the Skytrain, baggage claim and ground transportation chaos with the hoi polloi, and arrive at your abode like a luminary.
On the return flight home, arrive to PS MIA a few hours early and indulge in access to The Salon before take off. The Salon promises to be an elevated lounge experience with cocktails and light bites. Inside the private suites expect balconies, spa showers, entertainment centers, white-glove service before and after your flight, customs clearance, dedicated security team, chef-driven meals and a fully stocked pantry. Taking it to the next level are the on-site spa services, daybeds for lounging and pet accommodations, all before a luxury automobile delivers you to your airplane’s back entrance.
PS is also set to open new locations in Atlanta and Dallas Fort Worth. An all-access membership runs $4,850 annually. A visit to The Salon requires an extra $695 per person. A private suite can be booked for an additional $3,450, for up to four travelers. Less frequent travelers can skip the annual membership and visit The Salon for $1,095 per person; a private suite can be had for $4,850 per day, for up to four people. Swanky and service driven, PS is kicking off the advent of gilded age of airport lounging.
